About Rietbron

Rietbron is a small Eastern Cape Karoo town between Willowmore and Beaufort West, surrounded by sheep and Angora-goat farming country. Established in 1910 to serve the farming community, its history centres on local institutions including the church and school. Mohair and livestock farming remain central themes in accounts of the area.
