About
Government Gazette No. 54101 of 6 February 2026 published Xamdeboo as the official geographical name replacing Aberdeen. Formal objections were lodged. Reporting in May 2026 said the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture was still processing those objections. TownHub keeps Aberdeen as the common search name, shows Xamdeboo as the gazetted name, and leaves the objection record open.
