About

Fonteinbos Nature Reserve (about 1 500 ha on the Kraai River, just outside town) is described in public tourism notes as both a reserve and the catchment of a spring, Die Oog, that supplies the town. The Aberdeen water page adds the leiwater furrows: channels that carried Fonteinbos water through parts of the town for gardens and the large erven. It asks that engineering and legal records stay separate from local tradition. TownHub does not replace municipal water operations.
